Dodge City Raceway Park to see IMCA SANCTION for Modifieds and Stock Cars.
"The IMCA Sanction for the Modifieds is a natural as these cars that race here at DCRP race at IMCA tracks in Kansas and other states. It is the largest dirt track sanctioning body in the U.S. and they actually started the Mofifieds back in the early 1980's. We are anxious to bring home the sanctioning from IMCA." said Ed Beckley, DCRP promoter.
"The old Street Stock and Super Stock rules have been eliminated and next year we will run a sanctioned IMCA STOCK CAR which is big step in the right direction in making the cars affordable and to also try to let neighbors to have a chance to race with us. There are plenty of these cars in tracks all around Dodge and some do not have anywhere to run on Saturday nights. IMCA Point Fund money and other good things come with a sanction but the best thing seems to be the excitement that drivers and car owners have that we have the rules out so early. Here it is not even December and we have our rules already posted on the dcrp message board," Beckley said.
