DCRP Under New Management
Dodge City and Ford County officials have finalized the plans for Dodge City Raceway Park in 2007 with the hiring of a General Manager and approval of the annual budget.

Brad Maxwell has officially been hired to run DCRP for the 2007 racing season. "It is a great opportunity to manage such a first class facility and I look forward to working with the city", Maxwell said.

Maxwell said the program will include weekly stock car, super stock, modified and 305 sprint car classes with a $36,000 points fund for the four classes. The plan also provides for an increase in purses to make the track more appealing to local drivers. Special events will include the World of Outlaw Sprint Series, which will be televised on ESPN2, Open Wheel Mania, ASCS vs. NCRA, BST Modified Series, Heartland Sprint Series vs. URSS and the annual Fall Classic.
