Pack the Stands Tonight at DCRP – Ford County Residents in Free!
Lonnie Wheatley, DODGE CITY, Kan. (August 31, 2013) – It’s time to pack the stands tonight at Dodge City Raceway Park as all residents of Ford County get into tonight’s racing action for free with proof of residency.
Tonight’s card features the popular racetrack’s championship chase divisions of IMCA Modifieds, United Wireless IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and Thunder Cars on the 3/8-mile clay oval with the Hornets on the inner asphalt oval.
Racing action gets under way at 7:30 p.m.
Also among tonight’s action, the United Wireless IMCA Sport Modifieds will be racing for added money with an extra $500 added to the purse. The payout for the top five positions has been increased for the night with the winner taking home $500.
With just one night of racing action at DCRP remaining after tonight’s tilt, several drivers have a potential championship nearly in their grasp with Austin Allen (Modifieds), Jeff Kaup (Sport Modifieds), Billy Phelps (Stock Cars), Matt O’Hair (Thunder Cars) and Jarett Lunow (Hornets) in the driver’s seat in their respective divisions.
Admission to Saturday’s action for those that are not residents of Ford County is just $10 for adults while children 11 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
