Stocktober – This Saturday, Oct. 3

This Saturday night at DCRP there is a lot happening.

Several big races during the night have many talking from all over the place.   This is going to be the richest stock car night in the history of DCRP!

First off we will run IMCA STOCK CAR vs FACTORY STOCKS qualifying heats lined up from a draw at the pit gate and then how you finish in your heat you will run heads up start to the features. That 50 Lap Main Event pays $1000 to win and with a good payoff to 24th position plus  B feature money also.  Your car either must be totally IMCA legal or totally Factory Stock legal no mixing of the rules!

Also mixed in the show Saturday night will be the IMCA Modifieds – this is a non sanctioned race and for no points and pays $350 to win and $75 dollars minium per car.  Again everything is lined up by the draw to heads up start.

Joining the fun will be the Mighty Hornets also.

Next on the schedule we will have the Enduro that pays $1000 to win (purse designed for 24 minimum). Crusiers – Thunders – Hobbies are sure to be legal and what fun this is going to be with 100 Laps of green flag racing!  Yellow flags or Red flags will flown to get disabled cars out of the way or incase spins.  This will be run as a race – NOT a DEMOLITION DERBY. There will be plenty of action to watch without seeing useless crashing of cars.

After the enduro we will have Mechanics races and powder puff races.

Now the fun part – just read on:
1.  Each car in the 50 lap race will be allowed 2 pit people (must be 16 and up) in the infield with gas, spare tires, jack, wrenches, and water but must have their own fire extinguisher.
2.  The outside and inside of the back straight of the asphalt track will be layed out as a hot pit area.
3.  If you exit the track that is the end of your race.
4.  Drivers will be able to pit under green or yellow to make tire changes or small repairs.  Anything major and your car will have to leave the race.
5.  The same proceedures will be allowed in the Enduro.
6.  Anyone that leaves the designated area in the infield will disqualify your car.  Also that person will be escorted out of the track.
7.  Speed limit is 10mph when you come and go out of the pit area.  In the hot pit aea speeds of more than 5mph will be too dangerous so no racing in and out of the infield.

The hot pit area in front of the grandstand will be fun to watch.  Drivers coming in for tire changes will be a blast to see.  Pit people jacking the cars up and using impacts on the wheels to hurridly change the flat tires while the driver sits ready to go off the jack is going to be big fun to watch.  Intense is the word!

We expect to finish around 10:30pm at the latest.

Good hot food, the last race of the year, and a whole lot of memories and plenty of kodak moments are on tap for this Saturday nights races at DCRP.
