TORC 2Lonnie Wheatley, DODGE CITY, Kan. (April 5, 2013) – The transformation is well under way.  And, one week from today, the TORC Off Road Truck series takes to Dodge City Raceway Park for the first time on Friday and Saturday, April 12-13.

After opening up the track’s championship pursuit this past weekend, work began on Monday to transform the facility into a “Baja” type track that will have the TORC trucks flying through the air and making all kinds of crazy turns along the way to thrill what is expected to be a large crowd of spectators.

The event marks the opening round of competition for the TORC series after some recent pre-season testing in Primm, NV.

The two nights of racing action will be preceded by a full day of activity on Thursday that will include the drivers stopping by Dodge City schools to meet with students and sign autographs, a practice session, a parade of TORC trucks to Boot Hill and then a dinner and VIP party at Boot Hill to wrap up the day.

Tickets for the TORC event on April 12-13 are just $20 each per day and can be ordered in advance at http://torc.eventbrite.com/#.

More information regarding the TORC series is available at http://www.torcseries.com/.
