20-race Schedule set for Dodge City Raceway Park in 2021January 8, 2021
Dodge City, Kansas — Dodge City Raceway Park is heading into its 21st season of racing competition and its 17th overall on the 3/8 mile dirt configuration. It will also mark the first under the leadership of Craig Dollansky Racing Promotions with Craig and Julie Dollansky at the helm.
DCRP is slated to host 20 events spanning from April to October and a 12-race DCRP Young Guns schedule is also in the works.
The green flag is set to drop on April 24 as DCRP will kick off its season with five classes of weekly racing action with the IMCA Sprints, Modifieds, Northern Sport Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks. A practice night is scheduled for April 17 for all seven DCRP weekly racing classes.
May will see DCRP in action twice, and the United Rebel Sprint Series will make their first visit on May 15 in conjunction with the DCRP Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, Northern Sport Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks.
June 4 marks Fan Appreciation Night, set for Night One of the IMCA Modified and Northern Sport Modified ‘Boot Hill Championship’, with all weekly competition in action, including the DCRP Sprints and will wrap up the next night.
Things will heat up in July over Independence Day weekend as the National Tractor Pullers Association rolls into Dodge City for the ‘Wild West Tractor Pull Nationals.’ The three-day event will get started with a pre-pull party on July 1 with live entertainment, autographs and a fireworks display. The following two nights will feature the NTPA Light Super Stock Tractors, Limited Pro Stock Tractors, Four-Wheel-Drive Trucks, and multi-engine Modifieds.
The track will host the ninth annual Jerry Soderberg Memorial Championship on August 28 with all five weekly classes in action.
Not only will Dodge City Raceway Park host vehicles with four wheels this summer, they will also welcome flat track motorcycles to come play in the dirt. September 17 and 18 is the Dodge City Flat Track Motorcycle Nationals with Big Twins, Hooligans, Classic Singles, Modern Open, Vintage Board Track and Vintage Hand Shift classes in town.
The next weekend on September 25 is Dodge City Raceway Park Championship Night, where each of the IMCA weekly racing classes will crown champions.
The three-day Steve King Memorial Sprint Car & Midget Nationals will feature 360 Sprints, IMCA Sprints, the Rocky Mountain Midget Series, Miss Kitty’s Powder Puff Race and the Kansas Antique Racers and fireworks to close the 2021 season at Dodge City Raceway Park.
