It’s Crunch Time in DCRP Points Chases!August 23, 2019
Lonnie Wheatley, DODGE CITY, Kan. (August 23, 2019) – While some lucky race fan could pocket as much as $1,500, Saturday’s racing event at Dodge City Raceway Park marks the penultimate championship chase event atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas.
Saturday’s event is headlined by the Sixth Annual Sport Modified Mayhem event offering up a $1,000 winner’s share with the Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks in action as well.
While one lucky fan will get a chance to win up to $1,500, numerous other fan giveaways will take place over the course of the evening that gets under way at 7:30 p.m.
Leading the way into Saturday’s action are Luke Cranston, William Nusser, Jeff Kaup, Angel Munoz and Reagan Sellard.
Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars:
Jeremy Huish has toped two of three feature events since June’s Lubbock Wrecker Service DCRP 305 Sprint Car Nationals, but it’s Luke Cranston that is closing in on another track title with a 93 point advantage and only two nights remaining. Huish moved 13 points ahead of defending track champion Steven Richardson in the fight for second after his most recent win.

While Jeff Kaup vies for his first $1,000 Sport Modified Mayhem win, he’ll also try to preserve his 37-point lead over Bart Baker in a quest for a sixth track championship in seven years.
